Shortlisted in the 2019 Business Leader Awards!
I’m extremely proud to announce that I have been shortlisted for the Business Leader’s 2019 Leader of the Year award. The Business Leader awards are one of the most prestigious accolades in the South West, bringing together a host of companies from across the region while recognising and celebrating business success. This year saw over 200 companies enter the awards across the 19 categories. The shortlists were compiled by an independent judging panel made up of some of the most senior business and community figures from Bristol and the surrounding areas, therefore it’s an honour to have been chosen as one of the four finalists in the Leader of the Year category.
The Business Leader of the Year award aims to recognise outstanding contribution to business and industry through dedication and hard work. This includes helping the business to grow through the creation of jobs while inspiring others to follow suit. For me, both personally and professionally, this makes the shortlisting even more important as these are factors that lie at the core of everything I stand for and everything we try to achieve at Procorre.
We remain focused on bringing something new to the marketplace, ensuring that in addition to offering the very best expertise in our core industries, our contractors leave behind a legacy of excellence. Last year we launched the Procorre100 initiative in a bid to put a stake in the ground and empower more women to make the leap into consulting. The initiative, which saw us embark on a campaign to try and recruit 100 women into Procorre’s consultancy network over the course of 100 business days, was a huge success. This dedication to equality is further reflected in our own internal team, with women making up 66% of Procorre’s total employees and 50% of our management position. It was Procorre100 that also helped me to be subsequently named Most Inspirational Businesswoman in the West 2019 earlier this year.
I am truly honoured that Business Leader have recognised my commitment to supporting the wider business community, through initiatives such as Procorre100, as well as Procorre’s work in continuing to drive positive change in the management consulting industry. Moving forward, my vision is to carry on motivating the next generation of consultants and business leaders through further hard work and dedication.
The team and I are very much looking forward to joining the 600 plus other attendees at the Business Leader Awards ceremony at Ashton Gate on the 26thSeptember.
