Job purpose:

To use business analysis systems to support and implement intricate change and continuous development within TLS, supporting both new and existing business IT systems.

Recognise key business drivers to enable an effective understanding of TLS corporate and functional objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver business, IT systems and process analysis to adapt organisational capability by working through each phase of a project life-cycle (Waterfall and Agile delivery) and being the interface between the business and technical teams
  • Determine the result of planned changes by establishing and analysing business requirements and measuring these against the wider strategic plan, operational priorities and varied impact, ensuring focus on member experience
  • Support an organisation wide commitment to change and the implementation of good practice to ensure TLS strategic plan is understood
  • Establish operative working relationships with colleagues at all levels with other transformation programme teams to ensure strong supply of project tasks and products
  • Formulate materials for and facilitate workshops across business units and project work streams and manages product delivery in accordance with project management guidelines

Knowledge, skills and experience

Essential Experience:

  • Knowledge of the full life-cycle of website implementation projects, including incorporation with CRM, finance, other Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions and single sign on to optimize consumer understanding
  • Broad experience of working in an agile delivery environment
  • Experience of being associated with important business change including staffing, cultural, transactional, financial, IT and overall performance implications
  • Skill of using industry standard methods, techniques and business change tools for example BPMN, UML/Use Cases, SWOT analysis, Five Why’s, Lean Six Sigma principles and methodology and wire-frames
  • Strong process design and re-engineering skills including process mapping with use of tools such as Visio or other business process modelling tools
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively and understand the business drivers for change
  • Experience of analysing business and IT requirements in order to achieve process improvements, cost savings and remove inefficiencies
  • Experience of using a broad range of BA skills, including writing a business case, producing cost/benefit analysis, conducting impact assessments, documenting functional specifications, reviewing design documents, and the end-to-end testing process.
  • Strong communication skills (listening, influencing and persuasiveness), capable of dealing with all levels of staff
  • Able to adopt an assertive approach and challenge business assumptions, while maintaining a diplomatic, tactful and sensitive manner
  • The ability to work well under pressure and deliver to deadlines within all areas of the business, and often on multiple work streams is essential
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills including Visio

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and AX
  • Business Analysis qualification, such as a BA Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Project Planning & Organising
  • Job requires the ability to forward plan as well as the ability to deal with multiple projects/ work streams and stakeholders with competing deadlines and priorities
  • Understanding of how to work with different parts of the business and how to manage their priorities and competing interests
  • Collaborative role, needs to integrate and align plans with broad range of internal and external functions
  • Plans and organises own work

  • Document and update business case and benefits throughout the project life-cycle

  • Fundamental requirement of the role to undertake business and data analysis to inform e.g. business case, options analysis


  • Based in Central London, occasional travel may be required
