Detailed design and supervised construction of a new hydropower station and tunnel at Tarbella Dam, enabling water for irrigation to also be used for electricity generation.
Provided leading-edge skills in tunnelling, power generation, transmission, irrigation and community engagement to harness an existing resource. At the preliminary design stage, we applied rigorous value engineering to a third party design concept to realise 40% more power using available water resources than originally thought possible, increasing the extension’s capacity to 4.8GW from the original 3.4GW.
