Last week we launched Procorre100, a new initiative that will see us try to sign-up 100 women in 100 days into our consultancy network.
With a female founder, equality has always been a core value at Procorre, however we believe more should be done in the industry to recruit more women into top consulting positions. Women have so much to offer the consultancy industry and yet they are underrepresented despite the financial benefits and flexibility it offers, so we want to put a stake in the ground.
The Procorre100 initiative follows our CEO Anne O’Donnell’s contribution to the Vote 100 anniversary book ‘Voice & Vote’, which celebrated 100 years of women being given the right to vote. One of just a handful of South West based business leaders profiled as part of the Vote 100 commemorative campaign, Anne has always championed equality and her feature focused on the lack of women in management consultancy. Procorre100 represents Procorre’s latest step in helping to change that.
Procorre already boasts a network that includes female consultants who are industry thought leaders within a multitude of disciplines and sectors including, IT Data and Analytics, Medical Devices, Change Management and Cyber Security.
Vivien Chaffin, who is a Business Change Consultant and is also supporting the initiative, has provided her viewpoint: ‘I’ve supported managers through some very difficult business change programmes and know that my experience and expertise has left them with the skills and confidence to lead and deliver successful business change in the future.
“I think it’s widely recognised now that a woman’s perspective on complex business challenges is valuable. I truly believe that, as a consultant, the benefit you bring lasts way beyond the time you spend working alongside the business leaders. As a lifestyle, I love the variety and flexibility it gives me too.”
“I’m supporting the Procorre100 initiative to help raise awareness of the benefits of becoming a consultant, and to help highlight the great contribution women make to the industry.”
